What is e-Commerce?

E-Commerce is the integration of traditional real-world business with web technology. In other words, e-Commerce is about putting your business on the Web.

  • The e-Commerce program consists of courses that lead to an Associate Degree and/or a Diploma.
  • The courses include Fundamentals of e-Business, Web Design I, Web Design II, Web Graphics I, e-Commerce Implementation and Planning, Introduction to the Internet, along with other business courses.
  • The Associate in Applied Science degree is designed for students needing business foundation skills and a college degree. The Diploma in Business Administration/E-Commerce Concentration gives the student the ability to have a working skill to secure a gainful employment in the internet economy.

How do I register for a class?

You can register for a class by calling 252-536-4221. You may also download an admissions application by clicking here. 

When are classes offered?

We try to accommodate your busy schedule as best we can. We offer classes during three terms – Spring , Fall and Summer Sessions.

What if I am a working adult and I need an alternative delivery period?

E-Commerce courses are offered on a flexible schedule. We offer both day and night programs along with distance learning options in some of our course programs.

How many credit hours are required in this program?

You need a total of 70 credit hours in the Associate program, and 48 credit hours for the Diploma program.

Can I transfer courses from other programs ?

Yes

Do I get credit for these classes?

Yes

Can my experience count towards my certificate?

Yes, with demonstrated experience, you can challenge applicable classes.

Are there prerequisites I should have before taking the e-Commerce ?

Prior computer experience is a requirement. Students entering the program must have a good working knowledge of Windows. We also recommend that you have basic computer skills and business acumen.
