Navigating Educational Experiences
to Diverse Students (NEEDS)

OPEN HOUSE
Student Services will have an open house on the third
Monday evening of each month from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the
300 building. Potential applicants will be able to ask
questions and receive information on admissions, placement
testing, transportation, special needs, counseling,
financial aid / grants / scholarships and Student Support
Services. The open house dates are: April 21, May 19,
June 16, July 19, Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17, and
Dec. 15. Additional

"nothing in life is free." Well, there are some valuable
things in life that are free. Student Support Services NEEDS
Program offers educational incentives that are absolutely 100%
free and available. The only thing you have to do is to take that
step in the right direction to Room 322.

FREE TUTORIAL SERVICES
After completion of the tutor
request form, a tutor will be assigned
to assist
each participant with difficult classes.
FREE COUNSELING SERVICES
A counselor is available to meet with
the participant and monitor
progress throughout
their tenure at HCC.
FREE COLLEGE & UNIVERSITY
VISITATIONS
College Transfer participants have an
opportunity to visit other campuses.
FREE COLLEGE TRANSFER &
ADVISING SERVICES
College transfer participants receive
assistance with the transition process.
FREE TIPS FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS
Workshops and seminars
are offered to assist participants with study skills such as: time
management, test anxiety & techniques, note-taking,
interpersonal & assertiveness skills.
