About the program
The
Office Administration curriculum prepares individuals for positions
in administrative support careers. It equips office professionals to
respond to the demands of a dynamic computerized workplace.
With a degree in Office Administration, you will have the qualifications
to work as an administrative assistant to a single individual, a small
group, or a large department or organization. You will also be
qualified to be an office manager and to supervise other administrative
assistants, or own your own business as a provider of information
processing services.
Students will complete courses
designed to develop proficiency in the use of integrated
software, oral and written communication, analysis and
coordination of office duties and systems, and other
support topics. Emphasis is placed on non-technical as
well as technical skills.
What can I do with a degree in Office Administration?
Many of
our graduates work in office settings in both the public sector and
private businesses. They are known for their expertise using computer
programs such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and other

How long will it take me to complete the program?
The
program is a two year associate degree program. It may be slightly
longer if you need to take remedial (brush-up) courses in Math and
English.
Is financial help available?
HCC
offers many scholarships, loans, grants, and/or work study opportunities
to help students meet their tuition and other school expenses. Your
advisor or a financial aid officer can explain to you the options
available and help you with applications.
