HCC NC Works Career Pathways holds Summer Camp Graduation
 
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College NC Works Career Pathways held its Summer Camp Graduation with the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District. Students and guest were welcomed by Dr. Ervin V. Griffin, Sr., President of Halifax Community College (HCC).

A diverse group of 16 rising 9th graders from Roanoke Rapids Graded School District were presented certificates by Dr. Dennis Sawyer, Superintendent. During the program Mr. Terrance Wyche, Executive Director/Secondary Education Roanoke Rapids Graded School District, gave expressions, Mr. Elton Wright, Regional General Manager of Lowe’s Distribution Center, served as speaker for the evening and Mrs. Ruby Ward, coordinator of HCC NCWorks Career Pathways presided over the program. Closing remarks were given by Dr. Ivan Mosley, Sr., HCC Coordinator/Instructor Advance Manufacturing & Industrial Technology.

Dr. Ivan T. Mosley Sr. works with area businesses on the NCWorks Career Pathways project. Dr. Mosley said "Our main goal is to build a pipeline for students to enter the advanced manufacturing program, build their skills, provide hands-on training and connect them with businesses that will need their skills now and in the future."
