HCC hosts new student orientation sessions for spring 2015
 
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) held new student orientation sessions on Jan. 6 at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Dr. Phillip W. Taylor Complex, Room 108. Students had an opportunity to hear from college administration, faculty and staff, and lunch was provided.

The orientation sessions featured a new format this year with students hearing from Dean of Students and Enrollment Management Dr. Barbara Bradley-Hasty and President Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr.

Students then transitioned to department meetings based on program of study. Meetings were held for the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Health Sciences, School of Business, School of Legal and Public Service, and School of Vocational and Industrial Technology.

Topics addressed during the school meetings included:

  • Faculty academic expectations
