HCC hosts 2014 Counselors' Luncheon
 
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) hosted the fall 2014 Counselors' Luncheon on campus, Oct. 1. Guidance counselors from area high schools attended the event. HCC representatives from administration, counseling, student services and the Foundation presented information on the following topics:
  • Career and College Promise
  • Counseling/Disability Services
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
  • Multiple Measures
  • Scholarships
  • Student Success Center
  • Student Support Services
  • Testing
Cynthia Fenner, community relations specialist with Cardinal Innovations discussed “Mental Health Resources for Youth.” She talked about training opportunities, service providers and the mobile crisis team.

"One of my jobs as community relations specialist is to make your job easier and more successful...There is a wealth of information available," said Fenner.
