HCC hosts area high school juniors for JLAC Day 2014
 
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) hosted Juniors Learning About Careers (JLAC) Day, March 14 for area high school juniors. Students had the opportunity to explore the campus and hear from instructors and students in different academic areas. About 325 juniors attended the event.

During the general session, HCC Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Deryl Davis Fulmer welcomed students.

Students heard from representatives from the Admissions Office, PRIDE Male Mentoring, Student Support Services, Women of Excellence, Student Government Association and the Student Success Center.

Students then had the opportunity to visit academic program information booths and tour campus in the cosmetology, advertising and graphic design, automotive, welding, dental hygiene, nursing simulation lab, and wellness areas.
