HCC to host Advanced Manufacturing Open House, April 8
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College's (HCC) School of Vocational and Industrial Technology will host the first-ever HCC Advanced Manufacturing Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, April 8 in The Centre. The event is part of North Carolina Manufacturing Awareness Week, April 8-12, which is an effort by the state’s community colleges and other organizations working together to raise awareness about manufacturing in North Carolina and to create interest in the career possibilities within this sector.

The event is free and open to the public. Advanced manufacturing is modern, sophisticated and uses cutting edge technology to create products used in fields such as aviation, construction, welding, automotive and industrial technologies. During the event, learn about the pathways to careers, meet with business and industry representatives and participate in hands-on demonstrations of advanced manufacturing equipment.
