HCC hosts area high school juniors for JLAC Day 2013
 
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) hosted Juniors Learning About Careers (JLAC) Day, March 15 for area high school juniors. Students had the opportunity to explore the campus and hear from instructors and students in different academic areas.

During the general session, HCC President Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr. welcomed students.

Dean of Student Services Dr. Barbara Bradley Hasty explained the program to students and how the event would proceed. Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Joy Cooley made introductions of faculty and staff. Then, students heard from representatives from the Admissions Office, PRIDE Male Mentoring, Student Support Services, Women of Excellence and student guest speakers.

Students then had the opportunity to visit academic program information booths and tour campus.
