Halifax Community College's Continuing Education Department graduated Medication Aide Administration students Brenda Clark, Mattie Williams and Maisha Lynch recently.
The 24-hour course is geared to students who are currently listed as Nurse Aide I with the N.C. Nurse Aide Registry. It covers the basic preparation for the administration of medications by unlicensed persons in a variety of settings. The course is designed to prepare individuals to take the competency testing required for listing as a Medication Aide in the state of North Carolina.

The next Medication Aide Administration classes are slated for June 2-11 and June 30-July 9, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Weldon campus. Ten slots are available for each class. The registration fee is $55. The instructor will provide more information about class requirements and expenses.

Pre-registration is required. Students should contact the Continuing Education Department (Building 400) on the main campus from 8:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday; 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Friday for admission requirements and registration.
