HCC HOSTS JOB FAIR 2007
Halifax Community College (HCC) hosted Job Fair 2007
at The Centre, Apr. 11. The job fair provided easy access to area
employers, various employment opportunities and networking
capabilities at no charge.
Career opportunities included administrative and clerical
positions, banking, child care, community social services,
corrections/security, computer technology, construction labor,
customer service call centers, industrial production and maintenance,
nursing, journalism, retail sales, sales and management, warehouse
distribution, truck driving, and transportation.
More than 40 companies participated including AAA of the Carolinas,
Boys & Girls Club, C & C Trucking, Caledonia Correctional Institute,
Chowanoke Public Transportation, Chowan University, Connectinc.,
Grayson Mitchell, Inc., Greensville Correctional Center, Guardian Care
of Roanoke Rapids, Halifax Central E-911, Halifax Community College,
Halifax Social Services, Halifax Warren Smart Start, Health Services
Personnel, Holden Temporaries, and Kelly Services.

The event was sponsored by Halifax and Northampton Departments of
Social Services, Employment Security Commission/JobLink, HCC, Daily

Chambers of Commerce.
