About the Program

The Cosmetology program is a one year diploma curriculum, designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/artistic principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry.  Students learn in a simulated salon environment conducive to developing manipulative skills.  After 48 hours of total semester hours, successful graduates are qualified to sit for the State Board of Cosmetic Arts Examination.

Cosmetology training offers a wide variety of career options.  You may consider specializing in one of the following areas: hair coloring, nail technology, skin care, makeup artistry, or product demonstration.  These are only a few of the areas you can consider.
