The Criminal Justice Associate in Applied Science Degree is an academic field of study which provides students with an in-depth examination and understanding of the inter-related network, systems, responsibilities, and missions of our American criminal justice system. Graduates of the program may choose to:

  • continue their education by transferring to a senior institution to earn a bachelor’s degree

  • seek employment in the criminal justice field

  • enhance promotion in their current job

The Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Certificate Course is an intense 16-week law enforcement academy covering 35-law enforcement topics which range from firearms qualification to laws of arrest, search, & seizure. Successful completion of the program qualifies the student cadet to take the state exam for certification as a North Carolina law enforcement office at either the state, county, or municipal levels.
