Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
HCC's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
The Goal of the CIRCLE Program is to "develop self-regulated
learners and problem solvers through learning communities"
What is the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)?
The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a focused and succinct record
of a broad-based institutional process of identifying issues in
student learning and a well-developed plan for improving student
learning. The QEP must reflect broad based institutional support and
involvement in the selection of a focused topic and the development
of the plan, include specific goals and an assessment plan, and show
evidence for sufficient financial and human resources for the
initiation, implementation, and completion of the plan.
In short, the QEP is a 100 page clearly-focused and well-designed
five-year plan of action, the implementation
of which will result in observable, objective, and measurable
improvement in some aspect of student learning.
What is HCC's QEP Objective?
Improving Student Learning is the core objective of the QEP.
What is HCC's QEP Topic?
"The faculty, staff, and students of HCC have selected "Developing
Self-Regulated Learning and Problem-Solving through Learning
Communities" as their QEP topic."
