The Halifax Community College Child Care celebrated five years of continuing growth and success at an Open House reception last month.

For the fifth year in a row, the state licensing consultant from the North Carolina Division of Child Development has visited the Five Star facility and evaluated the center as part of the annual accreditation process. The Center received a "perfect score."

Not only were there no violations, but there were not even any recommendations for improvement. According to the Child Care Center director, Susan Suiter, "We received high marks for our performance and for the quality and operation of the facility itself, and we were told to ‘Keep doing what we are doing,’" she said with a smile.
