HCC COSMETOLOGY DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHES SCHOLARSHIP

Members of the Halifax Community College Cosmetology Department have established a scholarship to honor retired licensed cosmetologist, Vivian Staley.

Mrs. Staley enrolled at the former Hairstyling Academy, which later became Roanoke Academy. She later became a shop owner and was a cosmetology instructor at Roanoke Academy.

The new scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving cosmetology student at HCC. Those wishing to contribute to the Vivian Staley Cosmetology Scholarship fund may contact the HCC Foundation Office at 536-7239.
