Baker Brothers Establish Scholarship

BAKER BROTHERS ESTABLISH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AT HCC

The scholarship, in memory of their mother, the late Barbara M. Pepper, will be presented annually to help deserving students to reach their goals.

Jon, Steve, and Jay Baker have established the Barbara M. Pepper Memorial Scholarship in memory of their mother. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a student at Halifax Community College.

In establishing the award, the Baker brothers were interested in selecting a student who embodies the spirit of their mother by combining work, education and rearing children.

The annual HCC Scholarship Awards Ceremony, recognizing all donors and student recipients, was held in the HCC Continuing Education Auditorium on September 21.
