TWO STUDENTS TO REPRESENT HCC AT NCCCS ACADEMIC
EXCELLENCE AWARDS LUNCHEON

Rebecca Rodwell Chambliss will graduate in May with an Associate in
Applied Science Degree in Medical Office Administration. She is a member
of Phi Theta Kappa. The top academic achiever at Halifax Community
College says "You are never too old to go after an education."
Rebecca returned to school after her 12-year job at North Carolina
Natural Gas was terminated and the office closed.
Mrs. Chambliss is married to T.W. Chambliss, (retired after 31 years
in the public school system). Her daughter - Tessie Guidry, is a
guidance counselor in Greenville, NC and her son Tommy Chambliss, is a
loan processor at the State Employees Credit Union in Greenville.
Patricia Gonshor will also represent HCC at the NCCCS Academic
Excellence Awards celebration in Raleigh. Patricia will complete the
Associate in Arts Degree in Accounting in May. She is also a member of
Phi Theta Kappa and has served as treasurer of Phi Beta Lambda, the
campus business organization.
Mrs. Gonshor is originally from Roanoke Rapids and is currently
living with her husband in Warren County. After working more than 15
years in the accounting field, she decided to formalize her education
and earn a degree from HCC. |
