North Carolina Senator Frank Ballance was the guest speaker at "A
Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.," Friday evening, January 18,
at Halifax Community College.
The Halifax Community College diversity committee sponsored this
special celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and invited
the public to attend at no charge.
In addition to remarks by Senator Ballance, the 40+ member
Roanoke-Salem Baptist Church Community Choir of Garysburg rendered special
music. The theme for the celebration was "Diversity through
Peace."
