PHI THETA KAPPA
DONATES BOOKS TO KIDS
Alpha Eta Phi chapter of Phi Theta
Kappa, a campus national honors fraternity, began donating storybooks to
the HCC Child Care Center in 1998. This has become an annual tradition
during the Christmas season.
The leader of the committee this year
was HCC student and Phi Theta Kappa member Tammi Pope. Together with
advisor, Katherine Sandlin and members, Ruth Gee, Zena Gibbs, and
prospective member, Loretta Harrell, more than 100 books were delivered
to the Child Care Center. Chapter members provided cupcakes and punch
for the children while they shared the books and read stories to them.
