HCC faculty and staff receive customer
service training
WELDON –
Halifax Community College Student
Services hosted a professional development session for
faculty and staff titled, “Providing Excellent Customer
Service at HCC” on July 8. The North Carolina Community
College System’s Director of Student Development Services
Wanda White and Associate Director of Student Development
Services Charletta Sims Evans presented the training.
“This is an opportunity to refresh and
remind ourselves of those personalities that we serve,” said
HCC Director of Admissions & Recruitment Services Bernard
Washington.
“It doesn’t take a lot to please people.
Just listen to what they have to say,” stressed Evans.
“Remember that when you are serving someone, that person is
the most important person at that time.”
White added that poor customer service can
negatively affect business and how others perceive you. “Go
the extra mile and share information. Show that you care
even if you can’t provide all of the services that customers
need.”
