HCC’s Women of Excellence, Student
Support Services hold open house
March is National Women in History Month.
So, on March 9, the Halifax Community College Women of
Excellence and Student Support Services hosted an open house
at The Centre.
During the greeting, HCC Dean of Student
Services & Enrollment Management Barbara Bradley-Hasty said,
“As women, we like to take care of everyone else. We also
need to take care of ourselves.” She discussed some upcoming
events for members, including a retreat that is in the
planning stages.
In an effort to take
better care of themselves, participants had the opportunity
to talk with consultants in the areas of health and
wellness, food and nutrition, cosmetics, hair and nail care,
money management, and dressing for success. Community
organizations also provided information to those in
attendance.
