Mary McLees-Lane with Duke University Medical Center-Pediatric Infectious Diseases was on hand recently to talk with Halifax Community College students in the Early Childhood Education curriculum about issues in Pediatric HIV and HIV prevention. The presentation educated students on HIV-related issues pertinent to daycares and schools, as well as gave a brief overview on the needs of children with HIV including how HIV is transmitted and how to protect against acquiring HIV.
