PRESIDENTS TO SPEAK DURING HCC 40TH CELEBRATION

Past Halifax Community College presidents, Dr. Phillip Taylor and Dr. Elton L. Newbern, Jr., will be on hand as the college celebrates its 40th anniversary at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 7, in The Centre. Taylor and Newbern will describe HCC in its early and middle years. Current president, Dr. Ervin V. Griffin, Sr., will speak on the college’s present and future. There will also be a presentation of HCC’s history in photos. College memorabilia will also be on display. The event is free and open to the public.
