The Halifax Community College Foundation awards over 70 scholarships to deserving students. These awards are made possible by individuals, businesses, civic groups, and professional groups. The scholarships vary widely in not only amount, but also in criteria. Some are for a specific program. Some are geared toward financial need, while others academic talent. Some recognize outstanding character and leadership traits of students.      All of our scholarship donors have one important thing in common: they care deeply about the future of the Roanoke Valley. They care so much that they invest their resources into the lives of others.      While tuition at Halifax Community College is modest by some standards, for many of our students, it presents a barrier to their completing their educational goals.
