Good Search
You can now make a contribution to the Halifax Community College Foundation by doing something that you already do. Just use GoodSearch the next time you go online and help the Foundation at the same time. According to its Web site, GoodSearch.com estimates that each search will raise $0.01 for your designated charity or school (image, video and site-specific searches are not included). For the fiscal years 10/05 to 9/06 and 10/06 to 9/07, each search actually earned 1.3 cents. The more people use GoodSearch, the more money will be directed towards your cause.
Each listed organization will receive a proportion of the sum GoodSearch.com allocates to charity equivalent to the proportion in which its supporters use the website relative to the supporters of other listed charities. GoodSearch will distribute a minimum of 50 percent of revenues to nonprofit organizations.

Once you are on the www.GoodSearch.com website, designate your favorite charity to support by typing in Halifax Community College where indicated. After HCC is entered, it will be recalled automatically the next time you search the Internet. Each hit will direct a penny to the HCC Foundation, and there is no limit or cap on how much may be raised annually to help our students. It's fun to watch our amount grow and think about the students that can benefit! You can also add GoodSearch.com to your toolbar.

Shop and Share

Do you shop at Food Lion? If so, each time you shop and use your MVP card, the Foundation will be credited with a percentage of your purchases. Your MVP card must be linked to the HCC Foundation by going to www.foodlion.com –follow the instructions under Shop & Share.
